Noujaim Helps Saint Mary’s Hospital Celebrate 100 Years

State Rep. Selim Noujaim was among several dignitaries, community officials and staff at the 100th anniversary celebration for Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury. Noujaim, who represents Waterbury’s east end, presented a state proclamation from the city’s delegation of state legislators that includes Rep. Tony D’Amelio. Noujaim praised the hospital staffers for the hard work and dedication that has seen the hospital persevere during tough times. Noujaim, like hospital president and CEO Chad Wable, said Saint Mary’s has positioned itself for greater success in “this next generation of caring.” The hospital’s Child Development Center provided the entertainment: “Happy Birthday” sung by a Pre-K class. That came after hospital officials unveiled a beautiful piece of artwork designed to celebrate the hospital’s rich history.
